Whilst Members have the opportunity to play on other courses as part of one of our teams there are also three other ways to play other courses at preferential rates.
Association of James Braid Courses. The Association of James Braid Courses is a collection of courses in Ireland, Wales, England and Scotland with one in New York, which were designed, re-designed or re-bunkered by James Braid. Arkley Golf Club members and members of all of the Clubs in the association can enjoy preferential green fees at these courses subject to tee availability. This list is updated each year with new member clubs. Click here to view the James Braid courses
The 1909 Club is a group of golf clubs which, like Arkley, were founded in 1909. These clubs will give the courtesy of the course to all members of other 1909 clubs which are over 50 miles distant, as the crow flies, once per year. A maximum of eight players from a club can book to play on any one day. To play at one of these clubs, free of charge, contact must be made through our Club Secretary. The Hertfordshire National Golf Passport. There are more than 1,100 clubs in England in this scheme. Host clubs offer reduced green fees to holders of the Passport. Members may generally play at least once per year at any of the clubs on the list and used for groups of up to 4 people. Restrictions may apply to the time and day of the week. The Passport is available to all members and valid 1st April-31st March and renewable annually. Click here to view participating clubs.
